P1 European SSP & P13 WorlSSP 600 -- ALTOGO!!!
The first round of the Supersport FIM World Championship 2021 started with Friday's free practice at Motorland Aragòn for Altogo Racing team and Kevin Manfredi. The European title holder was the fastest of the WorldSSP Challenge contenders in the two free practice sessions. With a time of 1'56.264, the standard bearer of Giovanni Altomonte and Marco Lavatelli placed 16th on the provisional grid.
"Positive day on a track 'hostile' and where we did not test. We went well, to arrive at 1 second and 2 tenths from the first is much better than the 2 seconds and 3 tenths gap of last year. We want to improve further to get closer to the top five, which is what we are aiming for this year. It's good to be first in the WorldSSP Challenge with a big gap to second. Tomorrow will be a different day with different temperatures. With the heat this afternoon I was one of the few to improve and that is very important. Now we have to focus on what we are missing and what we have missed by not testing on this circuit"
All that remains is to give appointment to tomorrow for qualifying at 10:25 and Race1 scheduled at 3:15 pm.
