Misano WorldSSP Challenge Round 3 (11-12-13 June)
After almost two years of absence, on the weekend of 11-12-13 June, the Supersport FIM World Championship returns to the Misano World Circuit.
In this unique Italian event of the season, the Altogo Racing Team will therefore make its long-awaited "world" debut on its home circuit. In 2020, in fact, due to the pandemic events, the calendar has been moved all over the Alps, taking away this satisfaction of running the home race to the team captained by Giovanni Altomonte.
Thanks to the good performance of Kevin Manfredi in the first two rounds of the championship, despite a fall caused by an unpredictable failure of a handlebar, the team will present itself on the circuit of Romagna as reigning champion, but especially as leader of the category reserved for riders who will run only the European stages of the world championship.
On this track the team has carried out its winter test and participated in one of the first two rounds of the CIV 2021. The aim will be to reach the top-ten, getting as close as possible to the top positions already in qualifying, in order to compete at best with "local" opponents, well known for their participation in the Italian Supersport Championship (present on this occasion as Wild Cards).
No rainfall is expected, with maximum temperatures of around 30°C between Friday and Saturday, and even higher on Sunday.
It will be possible to follow all the updates in real time on worldsbk.com, while Superpole and races will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Friday 11: FP1 - h 11:25, FP2 - h 16:00
